About the Role
Our Client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of IT Operations to lead the technology infrastructure for a fast-paced, digitally driven organization in the health and wellness space. This role will oversee the full spectrum of IT services—hardware, software, networks, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity—ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance operations across the company.
You’ll manage internal IT resources and external vendors, drive adoption of modern tools and technologies, and ensure a smooth, secure experience for users at every level of the organization. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with deep technical expertise, a strong service mindset, and the ability to scale IT systems in a growing, regulated environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and scale day-to-day IT operations including networks, infrastructure, endpoint management, and systems support
- Oversee end-user services including IT help desk, mobile device support, and collaboration tools
- Manage hardware/software installations, upgrades, and configurations
- Own security and compliance across IT systems (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.)
- Direct backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation
- Manage IT budgets, software licenses, and vendor SLAs
- Support SSO and identity management systems (Active Directory, Okta, AWS)
- Monitor and improve system performance and user satisfaction
- Lead incident response and coordinate root cause analysis
- Guide and mentor a growing IT team focused on support and asset management
- Implement automation and self-service tools to drive efficiency
- Lead change management communications for IT-related projects
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in IT Operations, including 5+ years in a leadership capacity
- Proven success overseeing IT infrastructure in a fast-paced or regulated environment
- Expertise in network management, cloud platforms (AWS), and endpoint security
- Strong familiarity with SSO, Active Directory, Okta, and cloud-first environments
- Experience managing internal teams and external vendors or MSPs
- Track record of developing IT strategies that align with business goals
- Comfortable operating in dynamic, scaling environments
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
