What We're Looking For
We are hiring a Director to lead our Healthcare & Life Sciences practice. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategy and presence in the sector, working with global pharmaceutical companies, medtech innovators, and digital health disruptors. The ideal candidate will bring deep domain expertise, a strong network across the healthcare and life sciences industry, and a passion for innovation that accelerates new treatments and improves access to them.
This role will work closely with Kearney’s Healthcare and Life Sciences consulting leaders to drive impact across the firm’s global client base.
Who You Are:
- You have deep knowledge of the healthcare and life sciences landscape, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medtech, diagnostics, and digital health.
- You are well-connected across the healthcare and life sciences industry—including corporates, startups, investors, and academic institutions.
- You have a well-established network within the Boston venture capital ecosystem, including relationships with relevant VCs, incubators, and accelerators.
- You are passionate about emerging technologies in areas such as drug discovery, precision medicine, clinical trials, clinical supply chain, commercialization and connected care.
- You have a strong understanding of the types of startups driving innovation in the sector, focused on solutions such as AI-driven drug discovery and development, clinical trial design and engagement, clinical logistics, diagnostics, patient support/companion and access solutions, algorithmic medicine/prescribing companion solutions, population health analytics, and digital therapeutics.
- You have experience in business development and are excited to leverage your network to grow our Member base.
- You are a strategic thinker who can synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- You are empathetic, self-aware, and able to build strong relationships based on trust with both internal and external stakeholders.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and are eager to wear multiple hats.
What You’ll Do:
- Sector Leadership: Shape and grow Silicon Foundry’s Healthcare & Life Sciences practice, developing a clear point of view on where innovation is headed.
- Thought Leadership: Represent Silicon Foundry at industry events, contribute to publications, and elevate our brand in the healthcare innovation space.
- Business Development: Identify and close new business opportunities with leading healthcare organizations, including pharma, medtech, and digital health companies.
- Member Success: Serve as the primary interface for key Member relationships, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and delivering high-impact outcomes.
- Startup Sourcing: Identify and evaluate startups with transformative potential in therapeutics, diagnostics, clinical operations, and patient engagement.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct deep research into healthcare trends, regulatory shifts, and emerging technologies to inform Member strategy.
- Mentorship: Guide and support junior team members, fostering their growth and development.
- Platform Development: Contribute to internal initiatives that enhance our capabilities, tools, and external visibility.
Desired Skills:
- 7–10+ years of experience in healthcare innovation, corporate development, venture capital, consulting, or a related field.
- Proven track record of working with or within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medtech companies.
- Strong understanding of the venture ecosystem and startup dynamics in healthcare.
- Experience designing or executing innovation programs (e.g., accelerators, pilots, strategic partnerships).
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.
- Strategic mindset with a bias toward action and measurable impact.
Requirements:
- Based in or willing to spend significant time in Boston, MA.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available).

Compensation & benefits:
- Benefits for your financial wellness
- Salary Range: $150,000 to $200,000
- Participation in company commission program
- Discretionary Bonus (target 20% on top of base salary)
