The Role:
We are seeking a driven and innovative Scientist I, DNA Production to join our High - Throughput DNA Production team. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of generative biology by improving and scaling our DNA production workflows. If you’re passionate about process optimization, integrated automation, science , and interdisciplinary collaboration, this role is your chance to make a significant impact on the development of cutting-edge therapeutics.
Here's how you will contribute:
- Identify, analyze, and address sources of variation and inconsistencies in workflows to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Implement process improvements to help enhance scalability and streamline High Throughput DNA Production operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Computational Sciences, Protein Sciences, and Informatics to resolve bottlenecks and onboard new workflows.
- Support the integration and optimization of custom automation technologies to support current and advanced production processes.
- Partner with Digital teams to help identify, communicate, and address underlying technical challenges in data systems and production pipelines.
- Provide leadership within the lab, working with the team to coordinate activities and ensure seamless execution of workflows for diverse protein production programs.
- Conduct data analysis and interpretation for lab processes.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
A PhD in a relevant scientific discipline with <2 years of experience specifically in production, MSc with 6+ years of HTP experience, or BSc with 8+ years of HTP experience. Industry experience strongly preferred.
Experience in High-Throughput Production environments with a production-oriented mindset.
Hands-on expertise with integrated automation technologies and their application in laboratory workflows.
A track record of successfully identifying and resolving process inefficiencies in a phased approach to meet lab and company needs.
Proven ability to write and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both existing and new lab processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to lead initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
Expertise in best practices within the lab and experience mentoring others to build skills and knowledge.
Experience in the molecular biology techniques used when processing DNA.
The ability to work effectively across interdisciplinary teams to achieve shared objectives.
