We are seeking an accomplished Senior Scientist– Bioconjugation with extensive experience in design, synthesis and characterization of antibody conjugates. This role will lead bioconjugation production and development to support preclinical and clinical programs for innovative therapeutics. The ideal candidate has a strong track record in protein, oligonucleotide, and small molecule characterization and is adept at managing cross-functional collaborations to advance hematology-focused drug discovery and development programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the development, optimization, and execution of bioconjugates to support hematology-focused drug discovery and preclinical development.
- Provide scientific leadership and methodologies for protein, oligonucleotide, and small molecule conjugation, purification and characterization.
- Lead cross-functional research teams to enable preclinical studies, CMC activities, and clinical readiness.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure seamless execution and deliverables across the R&D pipeline.
- Contribute to regulatory filings, data interpretation, and scientific publications to support program goals.
- Mentor and develop junior scientists to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field or M.S. with extensive relevant experience.
- Proven expertise in bioconjugation and antibody development across research development pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with protein expression systems and purification strategies including AKTA, HPLC (SEC, IEX, IPRP, RP) and affinity capture.
- Skilled in optimizing bioconjugation chemistry and scaling to support GxP preparedness.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional and collaborative projects.
- Experience contributing to regulatory filings and managing GLP/cGMP-compliant workflows is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Technical expertise in bioconjugation assay development, laboratory automation, and high-throughput screening.
- Proficiency in protein characterization, conjugation techniques, and large molecule analysis.
- Familiarity with software tools such as GraphPad Prism, ChemDraw, ChemOffice, Unicorn-AKTA, and HPLC platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
