Position Overview
Astria Therapeutics is dedicated to bringing hope with life-changing therapies to patients and families affected by allergic and immunological diseases. Astria’s pipeline includes our lead program, Navenibart, a monoclonal antibody inhibitor of plasma kallikrein in clinical development for the treatment of hereditary angioedema, as well as STAR-0310, an OX40 monoclonal antibody antagonist currently in pre-clinical development for atopic dermatitis (AD) and being explored for other allergic and immunological diseases.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about our mission and about working with an exceptional team and organization to serve as the Brand Lead to support our organization. This role will be a key contributor in leading the marketing efforts as we prepare to commercialize our lead asset Navenibart.
Responsibilities
Develop and drive execution of Brand Plan for Astria’s first potential product launch: navenibart
- Provide strategic leadership to establish navenibart as a market leader, including pre-launch and launch planning, annual brand planning, presentation of plans to leadership for endorsement and providing regular updates to leadership on progress.
- Refine product targeting, positioning and messaging as market evolves and new data becomes available.
- Identify and engage with thought leaders through participation at congresses, HCP visits and advisory boards.
- Ensure brand maintains value by making recommendations for product development and life cycle management.
- Build annual budget based on highest priority activities, enabling achievement of short- and long-term plans; manage budget.
Lead Marketing Execution for HCPs, Patients and Payors
- Lead development of value proposition, disease awareness, and promotional campaigns in collaboration with Medical Affairs.
- Develop compelling messaging and programing to patients and caregivers, through close collaboration with Astria’s patient advocacy team
- Select and direct a creative agency partner in development of disease awareness and promotional materials.
- Identify and execute personal and non-personal (e.g., digital) promotional tactics to optimize efficient reach to physicians and patients.
Prepare for the ultimate launch of navenibart
- Develop pre-launch and launch plans to ensure cross-functional activities are coordinated to enable efficient patient access at product launch. E.g., scientific communications, distribution/supply chain management
- Develop product branding for packaging and promotional materials.
- Lead cross-functional commercial sub-team (which may include representatives from program strategy, medical affairs, market access, market insights, patient advocacy, investor relations, CMC, supply chain, legal, regulatory) to support planning and alignment for launch.
Use data-driven approach to support brand strategy and tactics
- Develop deep understanding of competitive landscape and incorporate strategic implications into brand strategy.
- Guide market research/analysis; identify current and future unmet needs, competitive dynamics, and trends within HAE.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in business or scientific discipline required; an advanced degree (MS, PhD or MBA) is preferred
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in biotech / pharma marketing
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization from late-stage development through launch and ability to identify strategic and operational choices that will drive success
- Experience in new product planning and/or pre-launch (Phase 3) commercialization
- Experience working with a creative agency
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills and ability to interact professionally and confidently with all levels of an organization
- Strong organizational and project management skills, ability to drive projects to completion in scientifically-driven company
- Established ability to work collaboratively across functions and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders
- Experience in rare disease is preferred
- Launch experience in a Commercial role is preferred
