The Opportunity
Do you excel at keeping operations organized and running efficiently? Marbles Kids Museum is looking for an Operations Coordinator to play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our daily campus operations. This position is responsible for coordinating operational support for all on-campus internal and external events, shipping and receiving, cash and change stock, maintaining the inventory of AV supplies and equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety and cleaning supplies, as well as other related facility tasks.
Job Responsibilities
- Receives, manages, and distributes inbound and outbound shipments
- Organizes and maintains order in the loading dock and furniture storage areas
- Collects, counts, and stores cash donations deposited into public collection receptacles in Museum and IMAX buildings
- Facilitates business cash pickup and change receipts into secure safes
- Manages Marbles PPE, safety, first aid, IMAX 3D glasses, office supply, and cleaning supply inventory and places orders as needed to ensure adequate stock
- Facilitates operational sustainability procedures including recycling, compost, and electronic waste disposal
- Deliver outgoing parcels to off-site pickup location as needed, and deliver waste items to appropriate off-site collection facility such as scrap metal and clothing donations
- Coordinates all Operations support (AV, IT, Facilities) needed for on-campus internal and external events
- Manages the inventory and supplies for all campus AV equipment, maintaining a current record of equipment availability
- Communicate with Team Marbles via email, Teams, and in-person regarding Marbles operational procedures such as waste reduction and direction, sending and receiving logistics, and operations team-wide support
- Perform minor facilities, IT, and multimedia set-up, tear-down, and maintenance
- Monitor and act to resolve Operations (IT, AV, and Facilities) tickets in queue
- Occasionally support PlayStore operations with counting inventory as needed
- Perform all other duties assigned by the manager
Experience And Skill Requirements
- Associates degree or technical certification in IT, facility management, or inventory management preferred
- 1 year of experience in inventory and/or facility management
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 software suite
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Experience with minor building and facility maintenance tasks
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team
- Ability to be flexible to the needs of the organization
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks quickly and accurately
- Clear and consistent written and oral communication
- Ability to set up and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment
- Respectful and approachable, with high standards for confidentiality and personal integrity
- Ability to drive and operate a scissor lift
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and squatting
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Moving technical equipment both by hand and by pushing/pulling carts
- Lifting and manipulating tables and chairs
- Occasionally using a ladder and going up and down stairs
- Must be able to work at heights
Work Environment
- Occasional outdoor work required with exposure to hot and cold temperatures
- Occasional exposure to a noisy and crowded atmosphere
- Tuesday-Saturday schedule with flexibility, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
