As a strategic partner, the Manager – Market Access Marketing will lead the development and implementation of tools to drive customer understanding of the Heron product portfolio value proposition. Responsible for development of comprehensive multi-channel strategies to ensure product differentiation, patient access, and reimbursement of Heron products. This includes working with cross-functional colleagues to profile the competitive landscape, develop strategies to achieve portfolio access goals, and create messaging and pull through tactics to enhance brand performance. Develops programs to maximize engagements with population-based decision makers, hospital administration, and integrated delivery network (IDN) leadership and tactically support those defined activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate competitive activity, identify key opportunities, and develop specific market objectives, tactics, and tools that optimize business performance.
- Shape value proposition through collaboration with Marketing, Market Access and National Account teams; incorporate into annual strategic planning process and deliverables.
- Assist with the development and execution of provider access and value message platforms for Heron products.
- Create tactics, plans, programs, and provide tactical support for effective execution in key customer segments, including IDNs and Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC).
- Oversee the Heron sample program.
- Oversee creation and development of print and digital market access promotional materials that effectively communicate the portfolio value story for the Market Access and National Account teams.
- Manage inventory allotments for all pricing, reimbursement and value proposition resources and materials across the Heron portfolio.
- Provide planning support for conventions, speaker events, ad boards, and POA meetings.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of payer/reimbursement dynamics within the Heron segments of business.
- Collaborate with the Market Access team to increase awareness and effectiveness of Heron Connect and its support programs for patients and providers.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Business Management or Life Science.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry with prior payer marketing, managed care/payer, or other commercial roles.
- Proven ability to motivate and collaborate with both internal and external teams.
- Strong understanding of pricing and contracting, and reimbursement across multiple sites of care.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in an environment of shifting priorities.
- Previous budget management experience required.
- Ability to translate data sources and key customer insights into actionable programs to drive growth.
- Demonstrated record of success with exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
