Role Summary:
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will be a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. This hands-on leader will define and execute a comprehensive technology strategy to support the company’s operational, clinical, and business goals. The CIO will oversee IT infrastructure, data analytics, vendor relationships, system integration, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing IT organizations in fast-paced, high-growth environments. This individual will bring expertise in healthcare technology, M&A integration, and team development while ensuring that the IT function is both operationally excellent and strategically aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a long-term IT roadmap that supports rapid growth and scalability.
- Align IT strategies and investments with business goals to maximize value and operational efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership for strategic projects, including system upgrades, infrastructure modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
M&A Integration
- Lead IT due diligence and integration efforts during acquisitions, ensuring smooth system transitions and effective data migrations.
- Create and implement scalable onboarding frameworks for integrating new entities into the company's technology landscape.
Operational Oversight
- Manage a team of 40+ IT professionals, cultivating a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Supervise service desk vendor relationships with partners such as Meriplex and Thrive to ensure quality, cost-effective support.
- Optimize enterprise applications, including Frameworks Rx, PioneerRx, Insight, and other critical systems.
Regulatory Compliance and Security
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, HITRUST, and other healthcare regulatory frameworks.
- Strengthen cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and support business continuity.
Technology Enablement
- Enhance data analytics capabilities for improved decision-making and operational insights.
- Support custom development projects using SQL, Azure, and other relevant platforms.
- Upgrade telephony and communication systems, including enhancing the 8x8 system for better efficiency.
Innovation and Transformation
- Lead digital health initiatives such as virtual care services, patient self-service tools, and robotic process automation (RPA).
- Utilize technology to optimize service delivery and improve operational performance.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience in healthcare technology, particularly within long-term care or pharmacy services, is preferred.
- Proven expertise in M&A, including IT due diligence and systems integration.
- In-depth knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, and related healthcare compliance standards.
- Technical proficiency in SQL, Azure, and enterprise applications such as PioneerRx.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing IT teams, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on management.
- Vendor management experience, particularly with service desk and infrastructure providers.
