Akkodis is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for a Contract to hire position with a client . This role is full remote and available to start in early January.

Pay/Salary Range: $65 TO 70/W2

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field.
Experience: Over 5 years in data science roles, with a preference for health tech, retail analytics, wearable technology, or digital therapeutics.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Python and SQL, with experience in machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling, especially in time-series analysis and forecasting.
Cloud and Tools: Familiar with cloud computing platforms and containerization/orchestration tools like AWS, Docker, and Airflow.
Communication: Excellent at translating complex data into actionable insights for diverse clients.
Product Insight: Strong ability to connect data insights to product strategy, with a background in product management or close collaboration with product teams.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of retail and health-related industries.

Responsibilities:

Model Development: Design and implement machine learning models to extract insights from extensive datasets of illness signals and consumer behavior.
Data Processing: Maintain and improve illness signals through advanced data processing and analysis techniques.
Predictive Analytics: Develop and refine predictive analytics and statistical models to enhance illness forecasting.
Client Communication: Translate complex epidemiological and consumer behavior insights into clear, actionable recommendations for clients.
Team Collaboration: Work with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform and execute product strategy.
Prototyping: Develop prototypes for new features leveraging illness signals.

Domain Expertise: Serve as a domain expert on the team for all related questions.
