Senior Copywriter, Healthcare & Oncology
The Senior Copywriter will shape the voice, messaging, and content for complex healthcare and life sciences clients. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create strategic, on-brand copy across multiple channels, balancing creativity with regulatory accuracy and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development of copy and content for healthcare and diagnostics initiatives, with a focus on oncology.
- Translate complex clinical and scientific information into clear, engaging messaging for digital, print, and social platforms.
- Oversee all stages of copy creation—from concepting to revisions—ensuring clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Participate in strategy sessions to refine messaging and align creative with client goals.
- Build fluency in client industries, including therapeutics and diagnostic tools, to tailor content effectively.
- Manage version control and maintain high standards for quality and organization throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of copywriting experience in healthcare or pharma communications, preferably with oncology or diagnostics exposure.
- Proven ability to translate technical and scientific data into compelling, consumer-friendly narratives.
- Comfortable in client-facing settings, leading discussions and presenting creative rationale.
- Strong command of AMA and AP style and familiarity with pharma regulatory processes and referencing standards.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with the ability to adapt quickly and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines.
