A leading multi-site orthopedic practice in Central New Jersey is seeking a Senior Director of Operations. This is a high-impact role with real autonomy - own systemwide operations, partner directly with physician leadership, and scale a patient-first culture across growing clinics.
Responsibilities
The Senior Director of Operations will be responsible for:
- Directing day-to-day operations across multiple clinic sites (front desk, call center, referrals, surgical scheduling, digital engagement, health records).
- Leading site managers and core teams (care coordination, scheduling, surgical coordination, MAs, PT, X-ray) and ensuring consistent workflows.
- Overseeing facilities and infrastructure; monitoring KPIs; coaching for performance and service excellence.
- Serving as operational advisor to Revenue Cycle (no direct reports), identifying improvements and driving cross-functional execution.
- Owning compliance/quality programs - policies, risk management, audits, and regulatory readiness across all locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of ambulatory/multi-site healthcare operations leadership, ideally in specialty or orthopedic settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in compliance (HIPAA, OSHA) and quality operations; EHR proficiency with data-driven decision-making.
- Track record leading diverse teams, improving access/throughput, and partnering closely with physician leadership and MSO functions.
Compensation: $140,000 - $180,000
