Position Summary
The role of Optimization Manager, Perioperative Services, will be accountable for optimization related initiatives within the hospital operations provides leadership support and tracks all new and ongoing locally implemented initiatives in full collaboration with Perioperative Services and its core related areas. This role will be responsible and accountable for managing the business activities throughout perioperative services. The Manager will also have leadership responsibility for the Sterile Process and Surgical Supply departments.

Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Insights
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets data from the comprehensive health record (CHR), SOS, At-the-elbow support, and Epic
Signal to generate actionable insights aligned with provider informatics and optimization strategies
- Develops and maintains dashboards and reports to monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and support data-driven
decision-making.
- Process Improvement
- Evaluates existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommends improvements to enhance productivity and user
satisfaction.
- Leads efforts to document and standardize processes across the Office of the CMIO, ensuring consistency and alignment
with best practices.
- Project Management
- Maintains a comprehensive database for tracking physician informatics projects
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously, guiding them from inception to completion
- Coordinates cross-functional teams fostering collaboration among stakeholders.
- Provides regular updates to leadership on progress and outcomes as needed
- Strategic Alignment and Innovation
- Identifies innovative approaches to improve provider and organizational efficiency while maintaining patient care quality
- Stays current on industry trends and best practices in healthcare informatics and optimization
Qualifications
Education/Training.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
Licensure/Certification
None
Experience
- Five (5) years of information technology experience, including three (3) years of experience serving in a healthcare
quality/process improvement function or related role.
