Habitat for Humanity San Luis Obispo County builds strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership. We do this by:
- Building new homes for low-income families to purchase in SLO County
- Preserving and maintaining homes owned by low-income residents through our Home Preservation Program
- Transforming lives and promoting positive social and economic change through our Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative.
We recognize that San Luis Obispo County is one of the least affordable small metropolitan areas in the nation according to the National Association of Home Builders. To address this housing crisis, Habitat SLO County uses volunteer labor with tax-deductible donations of money, materials, and services to build homes that are affordable to very low- and low-income families, along with maintaining the existing affordable housing stock, and revitalizing communities.
