As a Sr Director, Medical Communications you will lead a team aligning strategic, integrated medical communications efforts.
We are looking for a leader who can excel in a multifunctional, matrix organization. This entails close collaboration and partnership with colleagues in Medical Affairs and other internal colleagues. Overall, we will adeptly ensure Scientific Communications team delivers scientific accuracy, value, and quality whilst confirming the timely achievement of objectives.
This position will require you to be on-site for 3 days/week at our Sleepy Hollow, NY locations. We can offer relocation benefits. We cannot accommodate a full remote option.
A typical day may include the following
- Drive the development and alignment of a comprehensive Integrated Medical Communication Plans
- Drive innovative solutions for impactful Scientific Communication content creation and dissemination
- Establish and effectively communicate clear objectives to Medical Affairs Franchise teams and formulate a tactical plan
- Partner with Congress Planning and Strategy Lead and others to devise an overarching strategy for Congress presence.
- Ensure quality execution of Scientific and Digital Communications materials focusing on: Scientific Communication Platform, Lexicon and Narrative
- Coordinate and Collaborate with the Congress Strategy and Planning team on medical booth design and content/material with end-to-end planning & execution.
- Partner with medical directors and Field Medical, assessing medical education gaps and needs of external collaborators
- Identify and prioritize scientific educational opportunities to reach targeted collaborators in an impactful manner
- Work with Project Manager to supervise all materials are delivered within the allocated budget, and tracking budget spend
- Maintain adherence to ethical and compliance standards, upholding an uncompromising level of personal ethics rooted in a “patient first” value framework

To be considered a PhD, MD, or PharmD is required with Scientific Communication experience in various therapeutic areas with >10 years Biotech/Pharmaceutical or Medical content strategy agency. 5 or more years of managing and leading teams is required. In-depth understanding of medical communication strategies, congress strategies, scientific content development and medical education.
