We are seeking a motivated Histology Scientist to join the In Vivo Pharmacology - Oncology group, for our global Pharmaceutical client.
Location: Boston, MA
Contract: 1-year assignment with the possibility of extension
Pay: $25-27/hr
Responsibilities:
- Design, validate, and execute IHC and histology experiments on human and mouse tissue samples to advance novel therapeutics.
- Utilize Indica Labs HALO Link for managing images and processing digital pathology data, including manual data entry.
- Conduct quantitative image analysis using Indica Labs HALO AI to support data interpretation and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate experimental findings and support project objectives.
- Independently manage project timelines and execute tissue-based assays to ensure timely completion of experiments.
- Maintain a meticulous electronic lab notebook (ELN) and participate in training sessions to ensure compliance with best practices.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Education: Associate/BS/BA/Master's degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience in histology or a related scientific field.
- Expertise in processing, embedding, and sectioning FFPE tissues. Experience performing immunohistochemistry (IHC) and familiarity with immunofluorescence (IF) and RNAscope assays.
- Proficiency in image acquisition and interpretation for quality assessment. Familiarity with automated immunostainers (e.g., Leica Bond, Ventana), and experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is desirable.
- Image Analysis: Exposure to quantitative image analysis tools such as ImageJ, Indica Labs HALO, or QuPath is a plus.
- Interest or background in oncology, immune-oncology, and/or immunology is preferred.
