The Role
We are currently seeking a Chief Clinical Officer who will oversee our day-to-day clinical operations and provide ongoing supervision to our Care Team personnel. This individual will construct an approach to service delivery that meets the requirements of the student population (K12 and universities). This individual will also be responsible for providing clinical leadership, fostering superior quality patient care, standardizing clinical protocols, developing clinical strategic goals and program expansion, and contributing to the recruitment and retention of clinical staff.
✏️ What You’ll Do:
- Offer virtual mental healthcare services as a clinician
- Maintain ongoing communication with designated school teams to provide regular updates, address concerns, and follow up with critical or pressing student issues
- Recruit and build a world-class community of mental health professionals to join the clinical team; ensure availability of adequate and reliable staff across all areas of operation
- Contribute to the development of clinical training documentation/materials
- Supervise and oversee our 24/ crisis line
- Devise and refine quality assurance standards
- Design and implement clinical escalation and reporting protocols
- Review data on wait times, clinical outcomes, and overall program efficacy
- Observe whether quality regulations and protocols are adhered to
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal rules and regulations pertaining to mental healthcare and teletherapy
- Assist Sales Team with clinical guidance and input as necessary
- Advise company personnel on best clinical practices and ensure safe and effective evidence-based care delivery
🎓 Basic Qualifications
- Strong organization skills and impeccable attention to detail — a must!
- 5+ years experience as a licensed psychiatrist
- Fully licensed in the State of California
- Previous experience supervising, mentoring, and managing clinicians
- Experience handling crisis intervention 24/7
- Demonstrated competence in clinical, administrative leadership, such as the development of quality and efficiency-minded procedures and assessment of data-driven results
- Ability to write clearly and succinctly, to adapt writing style to match any audience
- Ability to work independently, have a positive attitude, and exceptional listening skills
- Must complete a background check (criminal record, education verification, civil search, drug and health) and reference check

- Know how to balance striving for perfection against having to ship it.
- Have excellent communication skills. You partner effectively with teams in a fully remote environment and discuss complex topics with clinical and non-clinical audiences.
