Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Health Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to public health programs in the areas of health communication, research, and technical assistance. Although Bakinaw Federal Contracting (BFC) is an enterprise of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan, it operates under the Bakinaw Federal Contracting Policies and Procedures.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate with project areas regarding study activities and protocols
- Organize and analyze data for reports, presentations, and publications
- Coordinates the creation and implementation of digital campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Launches ads/spots on various platforms (Hulu, Spotify, Facebook, etc.)
- Monitors digital campaigns to ensure that they meet goals and uses analytic tools to assess and make necessary modifications.
- Collects campaign metric data after each campaign and prepares written reports.
- Works with the design team to help create visual and written content for social media posts and digital messaging.
- Assist in the review of study data for data quality
- Organize study files, including data and correspondence files
- Perform scientific, medical, and research literature searches
- Provide technical and administrative support to multi-disciplinary teams to accomplish public health research and program goals
- Participate in the development of various health communications materials
- Performs other tasks necessary to comply with services to be provided under the applicable contract.

- Collaboration – Must be able to schedule meetings effectively using Microsoft Outlook and web-based collaboration tools such as Lifesize and Zoom.
- Physical – Must be able to lift items up to 30 lbs. Must be able to communicate verbally, in writing, and via typed communications. Vision requirements include the ability to read printed documents as well as a computer screen.
- Software knowledge – Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Experience performing basic data analysis and producing data reports
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office products
- 2 years of related post-graduate experience
Candidates will meet at least four of the five following criteria:
- Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Experience providing oral presentations to live audiences
- Strong skills in oral and written communication
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Experience with maternal health and/or immunization preferred
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's required, Master’s Degree preferred in public health, social science, or communications
Additional Requirements
Required:
- Ability to possess and maintain a valid State and Tribal driver’s license.
- Pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Security Clearance may be required by the assigned contract.
