Medical Office Check-Out & Billing Specialist – Medical Billing Experience REQUIRED

Location: Fairfax, VA
Specialty Practice: Eyelid Plastic Surgery

Only apply if you have true in-office medical billing experience including insurance claim follow-up, EOB review, and patient balance communication. Remote-only billing or copay-only roles do not qualify. Certification in billing/coding is preferred.

Join a friendly, specialized eyelid plastic surgery practice where billing accuracy and patient care matter. This role combines patient check-out responsibilities with hands-on billing oversight and coordination with our billing partner.Key Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and manage check-out with professionalism
Review insurance responses (EOBs), oversee patient balances, and ensure proper follow-up
Coordinate with our billing company to confirm clean claims and accurate posting
Collect copays and reconcile payments accurately
Schedule follow-up visits and support clinic flow
Upload digital photos and documentation into EMR
Send electronic prescriptions to pharmacies
Assist with room turnover and support patient flow as needed
Cross-train with team to maintain smooth operations

Qualifications

✅ Required: Minimum 2 years of in-office medical billing experience
✅ Experience with insurance follow-up and patient billing communication
✅ EMR and electronic prescription experience
✅ Strong attention to detail, organized, dependable team player
✅ Preferred: Certified medical biller/coder (CPC, CMRS, etc.)
