- NOTE: Ideally, the client wants 7–10 years of experience as a Project Manager leading large-scale Cerner projects or working closely with physicians and executives on clinical optimization. At minimum, candidates must have 5 years of direct Cerner experience (workflows, optimization, or implementation).
MUST HAVES:
- 5+ years of project management experience in the healthcare sector.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Health (Cerner EHR), specifically clinical applications.
- Proven track record of leading process development and workflow optimization.
- Strong executive presence with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience facilitating discussions with physicians and senior leaders.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Prior experience leading clinical optimization or EHR implementation projects.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION: We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead physician optimization initiatives and support clinical programs for our healthcare client. This role requires strong healthcare project management skills, deep Oracle Health (Cerner EHR) experience, and the ability to work with both executives and clinical teams.
- Lead physician optimization & clinical projects: Drive initiatives that improve physician satisfaction, clinical efficiency, and patient outcomes. Define scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with organizational priorities.
- Manage project delivery: Oversee timelines, budgets, resources, and risks. Establish governance, track milestones, and resolve issues proactively.
- Engage stakeholders: Partner with physicians, staff, and leaders to design and implement efficient clinical workflows. Facilitate sessions to identify challenges, align solutions with best practices, and secure buy-in across teams.
- Present to leadership: Confidently communicate with CIO, CMIO, and physician groups, balancing clinical priorities with operational feasibility.
- Optimize processes: Apply structured methodologies for continuous improvement and ensure technology supports care delivery.
- Ensure transparency: Provide clear updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
