Position Summary
Arsenault Dermatology is the market leader in medical, surgical, and aesthetic dermatology serving the Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch communities. We are seeking a highly experienced healthcare COO, preferably experienced in Dermatology, to collaborate directly with the CEO to translate vision into action. Our goal is to both maintain our position as market leader, as well as scale beyond 100,000 visits/year.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Work directly with visionary CEO, translating strategic vision into operational and financial reality
- Lead strategic planning for growth, expansion, and service line development
- Align business strategy between departments
- Drive performance culture through KPIs and accountability systems
- Prepare and present strategic updates and financial reports to Physician Owners
Operations & Clinical Oversight
- Oversee all day-to-day clinical, aesthetic, and non-clinical operations across multiple locations
- Manage and optimize patient flow, schedule efficiency, and provider asset allocation (seating chart)
- Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and Florida Dept of Health
- Develop and implement systems and process improvement initiatives for scalable and consistent operations
- Work directly with Clinical Director and Leadership Team to foster culture of excellence and responsiveness
Provider Relations
- Drive recruitment, onboarding, and integration of dermatology providers (MD, DO, APPs)
- Build strong, trust-based relationships to support provider engagement and retention
- Lead provider contract negotiations with competitive, performance-aligned terms
- Serve as key liaison between providers and admin teams to resolve issues and streamline workflows
- Track provider metrics (productivity, satisfaction, compliance) and support clinical excellence
- Develop strategies to boost provider satisfaction and foster collaborative culture
- Stay ahead of regulatory and payer changes impacting dermatology practices
- Promote feedback, CME planning, and provider development initiatives
Data, Reporting & Decision Support
- Own the organization’s Business Intelligence (BI) infrastructure, including oversight of DOMO dashboards, ETL flows, and underlying data architecture
- Build and maintain real-time executive dashboards tracking KPIs across revenue, expenses, provider productivity, patient flow, and operational efficiency
- Personally develop and troubleshoot ETL pipelines and data transformations
- Translate raw data into actionable insights, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for intervention across clinical and administrative workflows
- Serve as the lead data strategist
- Design and implement self-service data tools for department heads and frontline managers to make informed decisions without reliance on IT or analysts
- Integrate data from EHRs, PM systems, financial software (Intacct), and patient experience tools into unified reporting environments (dashboards)
- Lead monthly and ad hoc data reviews with the CEO, Physician Owners, and Leadership Team to track progress and course-correct as needed
Compliance, Legal, and Risk Management
- Oversee organization-wide compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, CLIA and Stark Law
- Lead internal audits, documentation reviews, and compliance readiness assessment to proactively prevent violations and/or regulatory penalties
- Serve as the front-line liaison for malpractice coverage, including managing incident reporting processes, coordinating with insurers and legal counsel, and overseeing documentation integrity
- Participate directly in the legal review, drafting, and negotiation of provider contracts, working with external legal teams to structure agreements aligned with regulatory and financial objectives
- Review and advise on vendor agreements, partnership deals, payer contracts, and lease obligations
- Manage risk exposure related to billing practices, credentialing, and licensure
- Maintain and enforce the organization’s internal control systems to detect fraud, financial misreporting, and/or security breaches
- Prepare all necessary documentation for external regulatory audits or payer investigations, and act as the point of contact for auditors and inspectors
Technology & System Optimization
- Oversee implementation of financial, billing, scheduling, and EHR systems
- Drive digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency
- Coordinate IT projects with cybersecurity, uptime, and data protection objectives
- Champion automation tools for both financial and operational workflows
Team Development / Organizational Culture
- Directly oversee finance, operations, HR, and location leadership teams
- Establish clear goals, performance standards, and regular reviews for direct reports
- Ensure the organization remains agile, accountable, and mission-driven during growth
- Promote a patient-first, team-centered culture across all levels
Candidate Profile
- 10+ years in senior healthcare roles (COO/VP of Operations)
- MBA or MHA preferred
- Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
- Multi-site, dermatology experience strongly preferred
- Expertise in operations, finance, and compliance
- Strong leadership presence
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary $225,000 - $250,000 plus performance bonus
