Responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director-Communications to provide strategic communications guidance and support for our core portfolios of work including digital and technology innovation (AI, automation, Center for Digital Health), international, and business investment & partnerships. This role is critical in shaping and conveying our Bold. Forward. vision, mission, and advancements in these areas to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with the organization's digital and technology innovation, international and business partnership goals.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to create and disseminate clear, compelling, and consistent messages.
- Serve as a strategic advisor on communications related to AI, automation, and digital innovation, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Craft and manage content for various channels, including press releases, social media, internal communications, and presentations.
- Lead media relations efforts, including pitching stories, managing media inquiries, and building relationships with key journalists and influencers.
- Oversee the creation of content to promote understanding and adoption of AI and automation efforts within the organization.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
- Manage crisis communications related to AI and digital innovation, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.
The senior director provides administrative leadership and strategic direction for the department and serves as a key partner to sites, the practice/research/education (shields) and administration. Partners with senior leaders to drive innovation and implement solutions to advance organizational priorities. Responsible for ensuring deliverables are met and outcomes achieved. Establishes and maintains strong customer relationships with both internal and external partners. The senior director helps to optimize operational performance. Serves as a thought partner and project liaison outside the department at all levels, helping to proactively identify and communicate business issues, coordinate project activities, streamline approaches/methodologies, and share best practices. Stewards the interest of the organization by ensuring strategies are viable.
Qualifications
Requires a master’s degree in a related field plus 7 years of relevant work experience; or a bachelor's degree in a related field plus 9 years of relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies for complex initiatives.
- Health tech expertise strongly preferred with proven understanding of AI, automation, and digital innovation trends and their impact on healthcare.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- A self-starter with strong project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with digital communication tools and platforms.
