Role Overview
The Medical Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing the clinical operations of Fresh Clinics. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Medical Director will provide guidance to Medical Directors, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff across our network. The Medical Director will be responsible for ensuring that all clinical protocols, procedures, and training programs are in alignment with the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate does not need to be from an aesthetic background, instead, needs to be eager to use their clinical experience in a business setting, with the aspiration of becoming a CMO.
This will be a full-time role, during which the Medical Director will be accessible for consultations, complex case management, and clinical oversight, including on-call hours to support the clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership & Oversight:
- Serve as the primary provider of medical guidance for Fresh Clinics’ day-to-day operations, ensuring that all clinical staff adhere to best practices and protocols.
- Oversee Medical Directors, who act independently in their oversight of Fresh Clinics' client clinics, providing guidance and advice as needed.
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners during Good Faith Exams (GFEs) and provide triage support for simple complication management.
- Be available to manage complex complications, in conjunction with the clinical team, offering clinical expertise and decision-making to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Protocol & Training Development:
- Develop and continually update clinical protocols, processes, and procedures related to aesthetic medicine to ensure safety, efficacy, and compliance.
- Design and implement training programs for new hires and provide ongoing education and protocol updates to ensure all clinicians operate at the highest level.
- Operational Support & Hiring:
- Work with the operations and compliance teams to ensure clinical practices adhere to state-specific regulations and scope-of-practice requirements.
- Collaborate with technology partners and internal teams to optimize electronic medical records (EMRs) and other digital tools for clinical operations.
- Help hire a world-class clinical team of Medical Directors, Nurse Practitioners and other clinical profiles required in the Fresh Clinics team
- On-Call Availability:
- Be accessible for on-call hours to support clinicians with urgent clinical questions, triage simple cases, or offer guidance for more complex patient management scenarios.
- Provide real-time decision-making for critical situations, maintaining patient safety as the highest priority.
