Responsibilities
Rome Health is seeking an
Administrator of the Physician Practices. This critical role is responsible for creating a delivery system that provides care to populations of patients in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Rome Health. The Administrator is responsible for growing primary care and sub-specialty services increased access of high quality, profitable and marketable lines of business and has overall administrative responsibility for the operations of all components of practice operations. Focused on outcomes for populations, the Administrator advances the clinical, financial, patient experience and operational performance of designated value systems, and engages key stakeholders, to determine care delivery improvement and collaboration opportunities across the network and community. Establishes a clear vision along with the CMO, CMIO and COO for the service line with an emphasis on strategy, operations and business planning. The Administrator of the Physician Practices will also:
- Serve as Administrator for all Primary Care locations (including Rome Health Medical Center, Camden Family Care, and Boonville Family Care) and all Specialty Practices such as Gastroenterology, General and Bariatric Surgery, Musculoskeletal, Pediatrics, Pulmonology, Neurology and OB/Gyn practices.
- Coach, mentors, delegates, empowers and acts as resource to managers, coordinators and colleagues.
- Develop/manage physician strategies, relationships, physician/clinician and Medical Director contracts in conjunction with CMO.
- Oversees internal clinical audits to ensure regulatory, clinical and billing compliance.
- Responsible, in coordination with the Billing and Finance Departments, for negotiating contracts with public and private payers, in conjunction with Payer Strategies.
- Assesses the goals and needs of key stakeholders in order to provide services they need and value.
- Maintains ACHC, CMS, NYS DOH and other service line specific regulatory and accrediting body standards, such as Baby Friendly.
- Identifies best practices and implements innovative approaches to improve access to care.
- Integrates regulatory, payor and accrediting requirements into daily operations.
- Maintains accountability for development, implementation and financial management of each designated service line within the Physician Practices.
Required Experience And Education
Position requires a BS or BA in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or another relevant areas of study, a MBA/MHA is strongly preferred. Progressive leadership experience of at least 5-10 years. Strong business and finance operations skills previous practice management experience is required. A demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects at the same time is necessary for success.
