Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Coordinator.
The AI Program Coordinator is part of the NYU Langone Health and New York Universitys Technology Opportunities & Ventures TOV team TOV is dedicated to accelerating the commercialization of breakthrough innovations in healthcare by translating cutting edge research into real world applications. TOV supports the development of novel technologies across a wide range of areas including medical devices digital health diagnostics and therapeutics The Program Coordinator will support the development and implementation of Artificial Intelligence AI and machine learning initiatives within the TOV department and across the NYU Langone enterprise. This role will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate projects manage resources and ensure the timely delivery of AI solutions that enhance clinical and operational outcomes
Job Responsibilities
- Manage AI program activities to meet TOV and NYU Langone s strategic objectives specific to training of end users prompt & agent engineering
- Seek to prioritize competing generative AI initiatives based on institutional needs timing and available resources
- Develop and optimize high quality prompts for LLM and other agentic applications
- Assist the Project Manager in the development of a comprehensive enterprise wide training program focusing on generative AI use Including but not limited to:
- Develop documentation such as job aides or outline prompt generation how tos
- Facilitate internal prompt a thons & hack a thons across Finance & across the enterprise
- Provide direct support to Finance & enterprise end users on generative AI projects
- Develop and deploy versatile AI agents that can be leveraged for routine administrative functions
- Troubleshoot and debug issues related to prompt generation models and algorithms
- Manage the creation and deployment of AI agents using tools such as Azure AI Foundry Langchain and Databricks
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications:
- Design and deploy AI solutions for revenue cycle management expense tracking reconciliation variance explanations and predictive financial analytics
- Collaborate with research administration units to develop AI tools for streamlining grant applications tracking and compliance monitoring
- Work closely with corporate areas to manage AI workflows for contract review legal documentation and compliance reporting
- Engage directly with clinical teams to deploy AI models for optimizing patient care pathways and operational efficiency
- Self starter responsible for the full lifecycle of AI development including ideation prototyping testing deployment and ongoing optimization
- Manage data privacy and security considerations for all generative AI initiatives ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with generative AI projects by vetting solutions and outputs provided
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and LLM research and apply relevant techniques to enhance prompt generation capabilities; refine workflows and outputs based on advancements
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate prompt generation capabilities into existing NLP applications

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements The salary range for the role is 51 243 96 98 000 annually Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including experience specialty education and business need The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word Excel Access PowerPoint and Outlook Familiar with Internet applications Effective oral written communication interpersonal skills Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure Ability to Project/Program manage and to multi task while paying attention to details
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree or advanced degree in Computer Science Information Technology Data Science or a related field Basic understanding of AI and machine learning concepts Strong organizational and time management abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail Hands on experience with AI tools and frameworks e g TensorFlow PyTorch Familiarity with healthcare or technology environments Experience working with business units such as Finance Research administration or other corporate teams Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
