Job Overview:
We are looking for a Patient Device and Registration Specialist to join our Team to assist patients in enrolling, activating, and setting up their remote medical devices for Remote Care. This is a unique opportunity to help empower patients to take control of their health and send the data directly to their physician for monitoring. The device activator is responsible for successfully describing the service and assisting the patient in activating the remote devices. This is a non-clinical role and is intended to provide support and education. No medical advice is given to the patients in this role.
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant certification required
- 2 years experience, primary care, family practice experience preferred
- Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of comfort with technology; ability to simplify and patient
- Introduce/explain new technologies to patients
- Initial Drug Test Required
- Must live in the Sturbridge, MA area
Role preferences:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to call, connect and interact directly with customers.
- Excellent time management and organization skills to ensure timely scheduling of and transition between appointments.
- Experience thriving in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Passionate about improving patient care
Qualifications:
- At least one year of customer training experience
- Strong interpersonal skills; must be able to develop and grow relationships with internal and external teams.
Job Description includes but is not limited to:
- Working with Clinic Success Managers to create a weekly appointment schedule with our clinic partners and assist in enrolling and activating patients.
- Scheduling appointments to meet with patients at their provider’s office, or in their home.
- Attend meetings as necessary with clinics.
- While in the patient's home, you will assist with setting up the devices (i.e. glucose meter, scale, blood pressure cuff, pulse oximeter, Fitbit).
- Assist the patient to obtain first reading and connect the devices to their phone (if applicable) and ensure successful transmission of first reading.
- Document activation outcomes
- Additional duties and responsibilities as they arise based on company and team needs.
